My Go-To Skin Care Routine for Dry Skin
I’ve been skin care obsessed since high school - although I definitely wasn’t using clean skin care products at that time. But as long as I can remember I’ve been washing my face, using a toner and face and eye cream. It’s been a non-negotiable for me no matter how tired I am at night.
Although, I’ve learned a few tips to keep me on track over the years. Like the night when you walk in the door after a long day at work…. I immediately wash and do my nighttime routine so that I have no excuses that I’m too tired later on. That’s been a game changer. Then all I need to worry about is brushing my teeth and crawling into my nice comfy bed. Bliss.
If you’re like me, I tried a bunch of clean products when they started to be more popular and spent a lot of money on products that just flat out didn’t work. Queue my introduction to BeautyCounter.
Here’s my go-to skin care routine:
1 — Cleanse
I’m obsessed with the Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil. I wasn’t too sure how I’d feel about using an oil to clean my face but it’s so nourishing and hydrating. It feels divine with a nice lightweight subtle scent. I love that it delivers nutrients while it’s cleansing. It takes off make-up and sunscreen like a breeze with the two-in-one cleansing. First the oil goes on your face to clean and then when you use water to wash it off - it turns into a milky cleanser.
2 — Prep
Then comes the toning step. The Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence is a lightweight milky toner. This adds even more nutrients to your skin and prepares it to receive your serum and moisturizer.
3 — Serum
Next comes the Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum. This serum takes anti-aging to the next level. This serum visibly increases your skin’s firmness and it’s elasticity all while hiding your fine lines and wrinkles. I will do anything to try to delay the aging process so this was definitely a non-negotiable. I typically use it only at night time and use another serum for brightening during the day (The All Bright C Serum). To be honest, I didn’t get why this was one of the best-sellers and didn’t add this in until a year later. Now when I look back at pictures before using this product to now, you can legitimately see the the difference. Who knew?
4 — Moisturize
Next comes moisturizing. In the morning I use the Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream and in the evening I use the Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream. I also use the Countertime Ultra Renewal Eye Cream both morning and night.
For me, there’s nothing better than the feel of the Supreme Cream at night. It feels like I’m doing an at home facial nightly. Total decadence.

On a budget?
For those who want to save on the cost (and I can relate), I’d recommend the following:
Countertime Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil ($70)
Countertime Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence ($88)
Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream ($127)
These products will last you months and equate to about the cost of a cup of coffee a day. Not bad for clean beauty for you and helping to support clean beauty reform for everyone!
